Tanner was an elite class wild bird hunting dog. He demonstrated exceptional bird finding ability starting at an early age of 6 months on wild pheasants in SD and he proved himself over and over throughout his life. He was a superior bird finder on pheasant, sharptail grouse, Hungarian partridge, and prairie chickens. His bird finding ability was coupled with outstanding tracking ability, desire to retrieve, and water drive. Tanner was one of a kind. A great bird dog and companion – very trainable with a stable temperament. He was a proven versatile gun dog and a great family companion to all. Bailey is a daughter of VC Jacob VD Westwind MH and VC Sundance Pied Piper. She is a high-intensity dog with incredible drive, a powerful nose, and exceptional style. A medium-range female with a special love for the water, Bailey has shown her commitment by searching as far as 500 yards in the marsh during duck search training.
While she is content in the home, she primarily stays in the kennel. She is one of the most loving and trusting dogs I have ever worked with, always possessing a strong desire to please. Bailey is an excellent wild bird dog with experience on quail, pheasant, sharptail grouse, prairie chickens, and woodcock across Missouri, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Virginia, with Montana planned for Fall 2026. Having produced well in her first two litters, we have high expectations for this upcoming breeding. Bailey is also currently in preparation for her NAVHDA Utility test in August 2026.
