SAND ROCK Summer 2025 Litter Announcement:
Sand Rock GSP’s is proud to announce our Summer 2025 litter. Our goal from this pairing is to produce high quality wild bird dogs that will be able to be enjoyed in the home during the off season. Both Rider and Riggs are Natural Ability Prize 1 dogs and are both members of litters that received a NAVHDA Natural Ability Breeders award. In fact, Riggs' litter from 2023 also earned a Natural Ability Breeders award where 5 of the 6 puppies tested all earned a Prize 1 score in Natural Ability. Special thanks to Sundance German Shorthaired Pointers for their help in making this breeding a reality. Fred Rice has been instrumental in his mentorship, and I cannot thank him enough.
Sundance Masked Rider - NA-I
Rider is a workhorse wild bird dog who hits the ground with determination and power. His determination in the field is only rivaled by his love for water, and his natural duck search. He has hunted quail, woodcock, and doves in Missouri, as well as pheasant in Kansas and grouse and huns in Montana. Living with 4 children and 3 other dogs makes him a gentleman in the house. Rider is currently preparing for his Utility test and is owned and trained by Daniel A. Mallory of Perry, Mo.

Riggs is owned by Mark and Malinda Heuring and resides with their family in Illinois. She is a product of line-breeding from Sundance German Shorthaired Pointers in Missouri. Riggs pedigree includes her sire who was VC Jacob VD Westwind MH which was line-bred heavily to Hillhaven’s Hustler and DC Esser’s Duke. Riggs Dam is VC Sundance Pied Piper who is line-bred with several Sundance generations. Riggs has hunted wild birds in Montana, Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois. Her wild bird experiences include sharptail grouse, hungarian partridge, pheasants, quail, and waterfowl. Riggs is currently being evaluated in the NAVHDA testing system by working towards preparation for a utility test. She is a medium range gun dog who is super cooperative and biddable for her handler. Riggs has been a natural when it comes to pointing, swimming, tracking, backing, and retrieving which makes her a joy to work with while training or hunting. Riggs continues to demonstrate the natural switch in the house which makes living with her enjoyable.

Sand Rock German Shorthaired Pointers is accepting deposits ($500) for this litter. The cost of the puppy in total is $1800. Deposits are only refundable if we can not produce a puppy of the desired sex. This cost will include litter registration in AKC and NAVHDA, initial shots through 7 weeks, deworming, and microchips. Picking order will be done in the order of the deposits received and requests based on the sex of the puppy.
