Cole is a rising star – a son of VC Jacob vd Westwind MH and Lina vom Stillwater NAI – two all-time favorite wild bird dogs at Sundance GSPs, and Cole promises to be carry on the tradition. Cole is a high drive dog, big engine and fast wheels, with a powerhouse nose that is bigger than his engine. He handles well and is cooperative. High trainability – glided through retrieve and steadiness training. High water drive and duck search training has been enjoyable. Cole is a very intelligent and pleasant dog – great temperament – easy keep around other dogs and in the home. He is expected to be an exceptional wild bird dog. Shay is a double granddaughter of Jacob vd Westwind – out of Dan vom Stillwater and Sundance Flatlands Princess. Shay was an early developer – a very natural dog – strong pointing instinct, easy to train. Her most outstanding quality is likely her exceptional nose – proven time and time again. Natural retriever and backer. High drive in water. She has very high prey drive and covers a lot a ground but remains aware of where you area and hunts for the gun. Her coat is very dense and bite is good. Shay has been on quail in Missouri, quail and pheasant in Kansas, Sharptail grouse, Hungarian partridge, and pheasant in Montana and South Dakota. Shay is owned and lives with Fred Rice. She is in preparation for testing in NAVHDA Utility and has demonstrated she possesses the qualities needed to do well in that venue.
